Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, has recently issued an action plan for the high-quality development of the next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) industry (2024-26), which outlines the city's ambitious goals and specific measures to drive AI development, with an aim to position itself at the forefront of AI innovation nationwide.
济南市人民政府办公厅印发实施《济南市新一代人工智能高质量发展行动计划（2024—2026年）》，明确了未来3年推动济南市人工智能产业发展的目标任务和具体举措，人工智能产业发展水平居全国前列。
By 2026, Jinan expects to foster 500 AI enterprises, with the output of the sector exceeding 60 billion yuan ($8.2 billion), according to the plan.
该计划提出，到2026年，济南市人工智能核心产业规模突破600亿元，人工智能企业达到500家。
The plan also calls for the development of 50 large-scale AI products across various sectors, the cultivation of over 300 typical AI application scenarios, the implementation of more than 1,000 AI demonstration projects, and the establishment of 10 AI industrial clusters and three AI demonstration zones, solidifying Jinan's position as a global leader in developing the AI industry.
同时，济南将发展形成50个人工智能通用、垂直领域大模型产品，累计培育300个以上人工智能典型应用场景，实施1000个以上人工智能示范项目，打造10个以上人工智能产业集聚区、3个以上人工智能示范区，人工智能产业发展水平居全国前列。
To achieve these targets, Jinan will focus on enhancing intelligent computing power, optimizing data resources, and improving fundamental software and hardware capabilities.
为实现这些目标，济南将专注于增强智能算力，优化数据要素，并提升基础软硬件能力。
The city will expedite the construction of major projects such as the Jinan AI computing center and advance industry-wide data connectivity and basic software development, the plan states.
该计划同时提出，该市将加快建设济南人工智能计算中心等重大项目，并推进全行业数据连接和基础软件开发。
Emphasizing the construction of a digital Jinan, the plan calls for the empowerment of AI across various sectors, including industry, agriculture, services, government, and society, through six specific tasks centered on AI application empowerment and innovation.
聚焦数字济南建设，推动人工智能加速赋能千行百业，明确了推动人工智能应用场景赋能与开放、人工智能+工业、人工智能+农业、人工智能+服务业、人工智能+数字政府、人工智能+数字社会创新应用6项任务。
Jinan's commitment to fostering a thriving AI ecosystem underscores its dedication to technological advancement and economic growth, setting a solid foundation for the city's future as a hub of AI innovation and development.
